FAQ
Got questions about pest control? Here’s everything you need to know — from how long treatments last to safety, pricing, and what to expect before and after a spray. Straight answers to the most common questions, all in one place.
How long does a treatment last?
Most general pest sprays last around 6 to 12 months — sometimes longer. Rain, pressure cleaning, or harsh chemicals can wear it down quicker. Rodents and cockroaches may need follow-ups depending on how bad the infestation is.
Are your sprays safe for pets and kids?
Yes — I only use the best professional-grade products that are safe for families and pets once dry. Only insects are affected by coming into contact with treated surfaces.
Do I need to leave the house during treatment?
If you can, it’s best to head out for 2 to 3 hours for internal sprays. If that’s not possible, just ensure children and pets are away from treated areas until they’re dry, or keep them in a room that’s not being treated.
Do I need to do anything after the treatment?
Not really — actually, less than usual. Avoid cleaning or mopping around skirtings and treated areas and leave spider webs up for a couple of weeks before brushing them off — this helps ensure pests come into contact with treated surfaces and are eliminated.
How often should I get my home sprayed?
I recommend a complete (internal/external) spray once a year, with a follow-up external-only spray at the 6-month mark. This helps stop pests before they settle in and keeps your warranty active and your home pest free year-round.
How much does it cost?
General pest control starts from $179 for external treatments. Rodent jobs start from $174. All prices are listed on the online booking page, or you can message me for a quick quote.
Why are your prices lower than other companies?
I run a small, local business with low overheads, so I can pass those savings straight on to my customers. You still get proper, high-quality thorough service — just without the big franchise price tag.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yep — always free. You can message me online, text, or call. If you don’t see your treatment listed online, I’ll send you a quote directly.
What areas do you service?
I’m based in Malua Bay and service from North Durras to Tuross Head and everywhere in between. I’ll also occasionally travel as far north to Ulladualla or south to Narooma, a small travel fee might apply for these jobs, but it’s still usually cheaper and always more thorough than the big guys.
What if pests come back after the spray?
All general pest treatments come with a 6-month warranty, which covers spiders, ants, cockroaches (excl German) & silverfish. If pests come back and it’s covered, I’ll return and re-treat any problem areas for free — simple as that.
Do you treat roofs and subfloors?
Yes — I can treat and bait both roof voids and subfloors where safe and accessible. Just let me know if you’ve heard noises in the roof or had issues with rodents or possums before.
Do you spray inside cupboards?
Only if there’s a cockroach or ant problem. For general sprays, I treat all skirting boards, windows sills, access points, cracks and crevices — no need to empty cupboards unless pests are active inside them.
What are the signs of rodents or possums in my roof?
Scratching, gnawing or thumping sounds at night are the biggest giveaway. You might also spot droppings, chewed packaging, or a strong smell. Possums are louder and more destructive, while rats and mice are usually faster and quieter. If you’re unsure, we can inspect the roof and let you know exactly what you’re dealing with.
Can rodents or possums damage my property?
Yes — and it can get expensive fast. Rats, mice, and other rodents constantly chew to wear down their teeth, which never stop growing. Unfortunately, that means they often gnaw on electrical wiring, water pipes, timber, and even air conditioning ducts. Possums can also cause major damage in roof spaces while trying to nest, it’s best to act quickly before the damage adds up.
What’s the difference between professional rodent baits and the ones from Bunnings?
The baits we use are second-generation, single-feed products that work faster and more effectively. Most of the baits sold at hardware stores are older, first-generation types that rodents need to eat multiple times. These can build up in their system and increase the risk of secondary poisoning to pets, birds and wildlife. Ours are also placed in secure, tamper-proof stations to keep your home safe.
Do you do termite treatments?
No — I don’t do termites. I strictly specialise in general pests like spiders, ants, fleas, silverfish, moths, mosquitoes, cockroaches, rodents and possums, and take the time to do those jobs properly.
